Sorry Yank-off fans, but GOOD PITCHING ALWAYS BEATS GOOD HITTING!
I'm sure Gay-Rod will cry in the arms of his boyfriend Jeter tonight.

Rodriguez may wish he was back in Washington state. Well, before he left for the money offered by the Rangers he was beloved. I don't know if he wishes he had never left here, but his furtunes sure took an interesting downturn when he did. Just as Griffey suddenly found himself taking injury after injury...but that's another topic.
Anyway, Take THAT conventional wisdom and so called "analysts"! Wrong in any profession whether it be sports or politics!
Bonderman wasn't as good as Rogers the night before, but he was good enough and shut down the yankees for about 5 innings with only one tacked on. Watching the depression set in on the faces of the pinstripes was a site to behold.

George Steinbrenner must be taking lessons on how to spend money from George Soros.

Back on July 4, I made a (substantial) bet with a collogue of mine that Detroit would win the pennant
he took the bet and laughed all day about it being a sucker bet. Cant wait to see him (and his checkbook) on Monday.

Yep, the analysts were wrong. With Arkansas beating Auburn today this is one of the best days sports wise for me in a long time. If Dallas wins tomorrow and Ryan Newman wins in Talladega I'm going out and buy every Georgia lottery ticket I can lay my hands on!

Well, they haven't won the pennant yet so your friend might not be ready to pay up yet.

"One of his moves could be trading third baseman Alex Rodriguez, who capped another forgettable October by going 1-for-14 (.071)..."
Will Mr Steinbrenner start calling A-Rod "Mr. May"?

Don't know if anyone would want to take on A-Rod's salary right now, especially with his post season performance resume.

About the only ones who could would be the Red Sox and maybe the Angels (remember, the only reason Boston didn't get him from Texas was the players' union queered the deal).
