The headline is incorrect. They did not study marijuana. They studuied THC.
If some chemical compound found in gasoline cured acid reflux, would the headline read, "Drinking gasoline cures acid reflux"?

Something similar actually happened:
"Las Vegas -- An initiative to legalize possession of up to 1 ounce of marijuana in Nevada might go up in smoke, after organizers forgot to file 6,000 petition signatures in southern Nevada."
-- Associated Press, June 24, 2004

Balance your brain chemicals all you want, but the final outcome is still the same.
By "final outcome" you mean slowing the onset of Alzheimer's?

More godless socialist reductionist spew! It is not an herb they studied but a chemical compound? Yeah? One created by God and given to man! Receptors for that compound exist in your mind. Maybe you can design a new chemical compound to remove the receptors or block them so that nobody can alter their mind in a way you deem inappropriate.
To: cryptical
If he wants to complain about the headline MSM defenders such as yourself hate it when misstatements of facts are exposed. That's what happened, your disingenuous euphemisms notwithstanding.

They studied THC or
Tetrahydrocannabinol, a
Cannabinoid Sure, it is still the same compound whether synthesized
or extracted from the originating herbal source as gifted
from God at the very beginning of time. But, herbs don't
have any medicinal properties in RP's world. They are
reduced to powerful substances to fear for their toxicity.
Indeed, the ignorance expressed in failing to recognize the
reductionist methodology of newspeak is typical
of the frightened children of the dark who conjure DEAmen
to do their evil bidding.
