Earlier in the interview he started to say he was "pr...." , (he was going to say "proud of", I think)then he said "I'm happy with the way this team played." I found it interesting that he chose to stay away from that word "proud". He's a thinker.
Twins manager Ron Gardenhire -- who won't be recognized as one of the best managers in baseball until he gets out of Minnesota -- started to say in a post-elimination interview yesterday that the Twins gave "their best effort" and then stopped himself, saying that they always give the effort, but don't always perform as they should.
