However, the theme definitely reminds one of the situation in Iraq, with the show supporting the equivalent of the Iraqi insurgents, complete with their strap-on bombs blowing up the local police academy.

I think Edward James Olmos is a great actor, but I also know he is quite the liberal. Unfortunately, I'm thinking this show is an apologist for underground Iraqi tactics versus the American troops.

That bothers me.

My thoughts exactly. I was maybe 5 seconds from just turning it off.

Thrace suddenly accepting the kid and cylon dude seems way contrived.

Odds are good that Thrace knifes the dude AND the baby next episode. I think she is playing up to the dude to effect an escape.

She's a fighter. What I thought was sick though that the cylon dude caused the accident for the kid and was trying to use emotion to get to her. What a sick dude.
