If these exploits require JavaScript, it seems that the
NoScript extension would be a reasonable solution for the time being. It will prevent JavaScript execution except for sites that you specifically permit; if you only permit known-safe sites you should not have to worry about a JavaScript exploit.
Might be a good article for the tech ping list.

Sounds like the rumor and it's spread is made in Microsoft. I call serious BS on "unfixable" exploits. Everything is fixable given enough time and effort, except perhaps the next version of Microsoft's OS.
