Well since you ask, as I stated at the top on the post, it is my opinion and worth what you paid for it, but it is ridiculous to think the NFL would want the civil authorities involved anyone who believes that is crazy, which again is my opinion.
The incident took place on the field of play, there were no foreign objects, (although if you have ever been spiked or cleated it really is unpleasant) were used, the offender was dealt with during the game, and now by the league. You can argue the severity of the punishment but the talk of criminal charges starts a slippery slope no one wants to go down, when does a hit become too vicious, how do we know he wasn't aiming for the quarterback's knee, Hey ref he bit me and I lost the fumble that I'd just recovered? I know lets call the cops and let the DA and grand jury decide. I hate it when the ref's calls markedly affect the outcome of a game, imagine the cops having to sign off on it, nope the Titans won, T.O. had a foreign object screwed into the bone on his hand, Cowboys disqualified.

That is false. It's a slope I would like to go down. I don't believe sports should be exempt from the law. If you fight in sports you should expect the same consequences as if you fight in a bar.

I'd been the guy who got the cleats to the face, you better believe I'd have been down at the magistrates filing charges... Have the fool frog marched right out of the stadium.

Sorry, but your making excuses is even more repugnant that this a$$clowns actions.

I play many different sports, and there is a huge difference between incidental contact, and intentional malace, your attempt to morally equate the two if disgusting.

So according to your brilliant goober-logic, one player can grab another player's face mask, twirl him around a couple of spins, killing him or putting him in a wheelchair for life, and you would be perfectly satified that he only gets a 15 yard penalty for "unnecessary roughing".

You should stop posting to this thread. Each successive post of yours makes you look even more foolish.

You should Think, Then Post.
