IMO:
I'm a Cowboys fan here, and I am surprised the NFL went 5, I was expecting 2 or 3. I think a 5 or 6 game suspension is good, and the matter ought to be closed as long a Haynesworth does not re-offend. Everyone including Chris Collingsworth who is talking about calling the cops and charging with battery and so on ought to just shut up.

Haynesworth knew he screwed up, and admitted it last night.

As I said on another thread, Haynesworth may end up wishing for a much longer suspension than that. I'm sure there are lots of guys in the NFL that'll be eager to give him an on-field lesson in sportsmanship when he returns to play.

Should everyone that disagrees with you on anything shut up, or is there a reason that those who disagree with you on this particular issue should shut up?

I am definitely NOT a Dallas fan, and I whole heartedly agree with Collingsworth.

It was premeditated assault and he should be arrested, jailed and sued.

Purposeful causing of serious injury simply does not belong anywhere, not even on a football field or hockey rink. Criminal charges are absolutely appropriate - if such an act occurred in any other context, charges would be automatic.
