Yankees over Detroit

Biases not withstanding, I'll go with that. I won't count the Tigers out, however, despite them limping into the playoffs. Teams like the 2000 Yankees limped into October and ran out with a trophy.

Minny over Oakland

Don't know, honestly. Because I only follow the 2 teams to the extent that I see them play, which isn't often, I view them to be more or less equal. I could see it going 5 games either way.

San Diego and the Mets

I think SD would have to be the favorites, seeing as how the Cards' issues are well known by now, but you never know. The Dodgers could give the Mets a fight, but I think the Mets will ultimately pull it off.

This is just my early handicapping of it, and I usually get these things wrong. Who knows...should be a fun October.
