When Bill Clinton made his speech to the Labour Party conference, he bamboozled a few by finishing with the word "Ubuntu".

No, I don't have anti-American phobia.
Are you really THAT ignorant?

How many times must it be said?
Fyodor is an American. Not Russian. The little birdie sometimes has trouble holding a tune. Once upon a time, Tweety chirped that Linux was stolen American technology being used without charge by the ChiComs and other nifarious ferners. Now it's eeeevil foreign software. No wonder he can't keep an individual's nationality straight.

Linux is a foreign clone of American Unix that came from Finland and has resulted in our Unix technology being transferred into it and subsequently given away to the rest of the world for free. If that's too complex a thought for you, maybe your mother can explain it sometime.

In reality, Linux was based on Minix, which in turn was based on SysV.
BTW--Minix was written by an American expat professor in Amsterdam.
Second, for some reason I doubt that when Linus wrote the first Linux kernels he'd expect it'd have taken off like it did.

Tweet, tweet, tweet... Unix's owners can't do as they please with their own property? That's a catchy tune. Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet...

You'd have made a great commerce secretary under Clinton, does your red cloak have yellow stars on it? Legal transfers of technology to US adversaries shouldn't be allowed, in this case it's ending up with Iran being able to legally build supercomputers for their nuclear program based on the multiprocessing Unix technology ported to this foreign Linux clone then given away to all takers for free.

Clinton heard the term "open source", but didn't catch the word "source". He thought that they were talking about something else.
"She's got an open what? Where?! Which way did she go?"

BS, it was you going on and on about how great you thought this Russian hacker was And anybody as well versed in security as you claim to be, anybody who knows as much about hackers as you claim to, should have caught that in an instant.
But I was actually going on about the tool nmap. Remember, that was in response to you claiming another FReeper suggested downloading OS updates from "hacker sites" when the site in question belonged to the FReeper, and was only an animation of how easy an update from the official vendor site is.
