Leroux said she wished the other Paul Vance had never spoken up.
"It's such a long time ago. To have it come out now, I'm kind of devastated," she said. "If this man is getting the royalties why wouldn't he be happy? The more you stir this up the more you'll smell. Paul can't hurt him now he's dead. And we're not going after him for the royalties."wow! her husband was a fraud and she condemns the victim

he went on to write numerous million-sellers for Como, Johnny Mathis and others I looked & looked for a list of the other songs he wrote, but can't find one. Anybody else know?

How bizarre! After all that reminiscing I did on those *other* Paul Vance threads! Well, I'll be hornswoggled.
Sounds like Mr Van Valkenburgh had a bit of imagination. And no kidding, his widow sure has her nerve to accuse the real deal of lying, when it was apparently her dead husband who did.
I guess she wants to believe that the living Paul Vance "stole" the dead Van Valkenburgh's rights to Itsy Bitsy and that cool mil should be hers. Sure 'nuff.

Oh, yeah, I forgot he (PVV) was the one who fought in the Korean War at age 12. In the Navy, no less.
And I stuck up for him *possibly* being with the Pacific Fleet in Korea later than the war lasted, but still patrolling there. Sheesh!
