Are you old enough to recall Milton Berle and other Fifties comedians dressing in drag?
It's only the idea that it is expressive of a personal identity or sexy that is new here. Celebs in dresses isn't new. And if some RINOs here at FR have their way, we'll have the crossdressing Giuliani as president in '09. And not all those crossdressing incidents he was in seem intended for humor. He looks like he was really into it.
BTW, I did watch Ed Wood this weekend. Yet another crossdresser, albeit a non-sexual one. Had a thing for angora sweaters and women's undergarments.

I liked the movie, "Ed Wood." Johnny Depp is always interesting to watch.
I remember hearing Dave Chapelle bemoan the fact that Hollywood insists on dressing up its black actors in women's clothes, ostensibly for a laugh.
At too high a price these days.
