However all of this is a moot point now that she is dead and an autopsy has been done. Physical examination of her brain confirmed that her cerebral cortex had liquified.

Not true. Such a diagnosis cannot be made on a corpse. And the ME stated as much.

Go troll somewhere else besides Schiavo and Irwin threads.

could starvation cause the cerebral cortex to liquify? I am not an MD so i don'y know but I do know starvation is a proccess whereby the the fat and muscles are actually consumed by proteins and enzymes in oreder to provide nourishment to the body.
as far as Ellen Goodman goes i have nothing good to say but I will say it as succinctly as I can- she is the biggest liberal bitch to ever spew her liberal. pro baby murder, pro gay "marriage socialist BS outta Boston. She is enough of a liberal wacko to be ted kennedy's wife. She is deplorable, despicable and just plain sick in the head-and those are just her good points.

A brain needs to be living for an awareness test. The human brain is a complex organ that science knows very little about. There are threads on FR about the MEs report that you'll find if you do a search. There's all kinds of info.

What i dont understand is why the legislature cannot pass a law that requires a person to make a legal document stating that you want life support measures to cease after a certain measure of time or whatever. you have a right to refuse medical care.we have laws that make you go through formalities to transfer assets, ie. a will.

if you do not have such a legal document stating your wishes in a case like terri schiavo's, then the default position is life support until you die a natural death.

this will take the decision away from somebody else and put it in the hands of the person who's life is obviously affected.

A life support machine is not a life-giving machine it only supports the life that is already there, so life will not go on "indefinitely" like someone on this thread erroneously believed.
