Wake me up when Verizon carries it.
Whatever Cingular gets, T-Mobile (my carrier) usually gets soon after. Sounds good to me.
#1 obstacle for me - cost. I generally upgrade phones every few years through a contract extention and get a decent phone for $50 or less.
I somehow don't see this Apple phone being one to fall into that category. I'm figuring an after-rebate (for new activation) price of somewhere around $299....but I could be wrong.
I was really hoping for a clamshell design..... :-(

As previously reported, Apple's phone will feature a candy-bar design with a 2.2-inch display and 3 megapixel camera. Robust iTunes and iSync support will also be delivered with the phone.I'm sure there's a market for it, I just am not in that category. Unlike people under 25 years of age, I don't need to blast my hearing every waking minute that I'm not blabbing on the phone; and don't need to be text messaging at all; also, I don't need to carry a camera all the time, along with the user manual to look up how to make everything work right.
Apple is missing a bet if they don't go into the same space as blackberry, Treo, etc. I have to have Internet access and email. With a keyboard. Camera and MP3 are nice, but not essential for business. Put it all in a small phone and I will jump on it. (But not till after it is sold by someone other than Cingular. Never again.)
