There's other ways to get Hep C. I have a familiy member that has it, and it wasn't from sharing a dirty needle. Most likely picked it up the the hospital.

Tyler's lucky that he can go through the treatment. In my relative's case, the treatment would be worse than the infection.

Sounds like we have a similiar situation. My 83 year old father has had it for years which they think came from a tranfusion he had 20 years ago during heart bypass surgery. In the past 5 years he has twice undergone treatment for liver cancer and is currently in remission.

Yes, Hep C can be acquired through other means. I know a number of firemen have acquired it; and not through sex nor needles. Contact with the "environment" while saving lives and battling fires. Lost a dear friend to Hep C a year ago.
