Man Electrocuted at D.C. School

WASHINGTON - Police are investigating how a man was electrocuted at a D.C. school, early Tuesday morning.

Metropolitan Police say they found a man thought to be in his mid 30's at Wheatley elementary school on Neal Street in Northeast around 2:30 a.m.

Police believe the victim was trying to steal copper wire from the building when he came in contact with a live wire and was electrocuted. Officers also believe the victim had a partner.

According to D.C. Public School's Website, Wheatley was closed this fall as part of the District's reorganization plan.

Darn, were it relegated to Arkansas, it would've been just another "hold muh beer" moment; now that's it's spread to D.C., it's officially a pandemic.
