ooo I just remember 1lt MCc**** is 1Lt. Michael McCarty he earned a silver star for another incident.
On Nov. 20th, Lt. Michael McCartys platoon was serving as the Quick Reaction Force for his company. He was called upon to respond to information that an Iraqi Police station in their area of operations was under attack. As the platoon arrived in the zone of attack, they were engaged by small arms fire, but continued on towards the police station when a suicide car bomber attempted to ram a vehicle in the convoy. The bomb detonated twenty feet from the closest gunship causing massive damage to the vehicle and injuring two of his Soldiers.
Lt. McCarty maintained control, evacuated the wounded back to base, and returned to the battle to help the Iraqi Police. As they arrived just west of the police station, the platoon encountered a massive engagement by an estimated 75 Insurgents, which is an unusually high concentration of enemy forces at one point. McCartys platoon of 26 Soldiers was taking fire by Rocket Propelled Grenades, Medium Machine Guns, and various small arms.
During the engagement, McCartys vehicle was hit with an armor piercing Rocket Propelled Grenade, which injured two more of his Soldiers. As this was happening McCarty observed a machine gun crew preparing to fire on his vehicle.
With the vehicle still moving, McCarty jumped out and charged the gun crew, single-handedly taking out the three-man team, securing the machine gun, risking his own life and basically saving the lives of his men.
While McCarty remained dismounted in order to acquire targets during the engagement, he also successfully coordinating an ammunition resupply and casualty evacuation through a radio call to a supporting platoon.
Continuing with the fight, McCarty was finally forced to break contact with 4 of his 6 vehicles damaged and the ammunition supply running low again, but not before McCarty confirmed at least thirty enemy fighters had been killed.
Even though more than 20 Rocket Propelled Grenades were launched by the insurgents during the attack, one hour after breaking contact, McCarty declared he was ready to go back into battle. Lt. McCarty led his platoon from the front, which resulted in the destruction of a much larger enemy force and saved the lives of his own men.
No dogfight, PEOS. Anyone who can do it, should, to keep it alive and moving along. Do you want a copy of the list, so that you can do it if someone else isn't able?

i just thought some of you would like to hear we do take it to them a few times, tho it seems we dont harp on it much.
I was involved in one incident, we never did find out how many we killed. dumbasses thought they'd attack 2 serials of convoys both with bradley escorts. heard one of our troops brought down a 3 story building with a mk-19 one of the fuggers was firing rpg from there.
Haven't heard a comment, yet, NYC. W really let the turd-worlders have a earfull, IMO. Lots of himming and hawing in the dirtbag seats.
I'd like to sit and talk with you over some BBQ and a cold one, K. My time in Nam and your time in the ME would probably have some overlaps, I'd bet.
Thank you for your service, sir.
not one of my units soldiers, but this woman EARNED a silver star, not by getting captured either.
Sgt. Leigh Ann Hester, who is from Nashville, Tenn., but serves in a Kentucky unit, received the award for gallantry during a March 20 insurgent ambush on a convoy in Iraq. Two men from her unit, the 617th Military Police Company of Richmond, Ky., also received the Silver Stars for their roles in the same action.
According to military accounts of the firefight, insurgents attacked the convoy as it traveled south of Baghdad, launching their assault from trenches alongside the road using rifles, machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades. Hester and her unit moved through enemy fire to the trenches, attacking them with grenades before entering and clearing them.
She killed at least three insurgents with her M4 rifle, according to her award citation. In the entire battle, 24 insurgents were killed and several more were captured, according to various accounts. Several Americans were also wounded in the firefight.
"Her actions saved the lives of numerous convoy members. Sgt. Hester's bravery is in keeping with the finest traditions of military heroism," her award citation reads.
w00t!
1Lt. Michael McCarty and you are some of the manyb heroes who walk amongst us, K.
Sgt. Leigh Ann Hester is another of the heroes who walk amongst us, IMO.
Late. Good evening, folks. Home made pizza for everyone!
I'll second that! Although the Islamo-scum would look much better repositioned in the gutter.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, homemade pizza. You da man, tonite, MC! What can I get you to drink?
Here's comes The Hitler-In-A-Headscarf!
Some People Just Need KIlling.
