What's up with the Jaguar E type? It's the Julia Roberts of the auto world -- not very good looking but always winds up near the top of the list.

Ever ridden in a well-tuned XKE? Does 90 in second gear, no problem. Triple SU carbs. Yeah maybe they're a car only a mother could love, but they're nice nonetheless!

My thought exactly. There are plenty of beautiful Jags, but that just ain't one of 'em.

Different strokes I guess. I've owned Jags all my life and have NEVER heard anything but compliments on the ETypes. This was my highschool car back in 70-72 (as it looks today at the current owner's house in Denver):

I also have a pretty nice 1950 Daimler Special Sport (only 500 ever made from 48-54):
