That sounds reasonable to me, except I don't think they would have needed to dismantle it to carry it around. My friend's brother owned one back in the 60s, and there didn't seem to be much metal in it. The roof was fabric, and the seats were something like a lawn chair. Four beefy high school kids could have picked it up. That car was great fun. Unsafe, but fun.

Not at all surprised. The 2CV had a wooden frame. It wasn't unique....the Lotus Super 7 and, I think, the old Morgans had wood frames too.
