I see no mention of seat belts here.Without seat belts I don't understand the physics of airbags on a bike. The trick is to keep the rider from sailing over the handlebars when the bike hits the %$@#$^$# car that turns in front of them without looking. THink of it as a way to keep the motorcyclist off the drip rail of the car. Go watch Honda's videos and you'll see what they want to do.

The trick is to keep the rider from sailing over the handlebars when the bike hits the %$@#$^$# car that turns in front of them without looking. The last time I T-boned a truck on a motorcycle, I avoided injury by standing on the pegs immediately before impact and being thrown *over* the vehicle.
Seemed intuitively obvious at the time.
