14 - Great Lakes Burning River Pale Ale: Cleveland, OH You have to appreciate a city that can laugh at itself. Everyone else does.
Where's Coors Light?
Yeah, but this is one of the worst beers I've ever had.

80% of the beer drinking market hits the "American-style" pilsners. About 13% enjoys imports. Where's that leave the craft brewers?Don't look at market share but growth rate and you will understand why Miller introduced Icehouse, Anheiser now has Budweiser Select and Coors is buying out craft breweries.

Alaska Amber is alright I suppose but nothing outstanding. I just like the hint of hops but there was an IPA on sale at Safeway a few weeks back I liked but the brand name escapes me at the moment...one of those Portland breweries

"Coors is buying out craft breweries."
Don't know where you got that bad bit of info.
BTW...it's Molson Coors. They merged awhile ago.

Sure it wasn't Descuttes Inversion IPA? It's the only IPA I've seen at Safeway. Guess it could have been Full Sail.

It was at Bonney Lake Safeway so they may have different stock. Those two don't sound right and I was just at Proctor Safeway yesterday and noted some different stuff since it's right across from the soda pop. But hey, it's my Friday so I guess I'll have to go check it out tonight! I'll report back...8>)

16 yrs old-the best beer is what you can get-in my youth it was Genny, Genny Cream Ale (Genny Screamers), Carling Black Label and Old Topper.
In my present age: My HomeBrew (It's a far better brew when you know the government's getting the screw.) Arrogant Bastard Ale (God I wish I had thought of that name), Shiner Anything, and sampling the many brews available-Better than Forrest Gump, you just never know what you'll find.
My Military time let me sample the best of Germany and England. I love the chance to make and sample the many brews that are made here.

Without their help, the number one beer would have been Stella Artois. Here in America, we just call in "Stella", the "Artois" is silent.

I had some beer in Maine that had a red lobster on the label.
I thought it was a damn good beer.
I still like Guinness, Heineken, Moosehead, Wicked Pete's and Harps.

My Military time let me sample the best ...I remember getting to Lowry AFB, Denver, Colorado, for Tech school and finding beer machines in the barracks. (courtesy of Coors)
It was right after I got out of Basic Training, and I thought I died and went to Heaven.
