Harold Ford Campaign Commercial Filmed Inside A Church???
Self | September 14, 2006 | PJ-Comix

Was I just now seeing right? I was watching Don Imus on MSNBC and they ran a Harold Ford for Senate campaign commercial in which it looked like he was making a political pitch from inside a church. Was I seeing right or was he inside another building? It sure looked like the inside of a church.

What happened to the separation of church and politics that the Democrats are always sqawking about? Can anybody confirm if that was a church interior that Ford was making his political pitch from?

That rule only counts for Republicans and conservatives.

Imus kissing liberal arse, Ford saying Cheney "drank the koolaid", Cheney illogical, delusional, ect. Imus laughs agrees that Iraq was a lie. LOL, then Ford has the gaul to say, Dems aren't being unpatriotic, after calling the President, the VP, and our mission, delusional.

If it's true, that church's tax exempt status should be pulled.

Not seen it, but it starts off like this ..

Commercial Script: I started church the old fashioned way… I was forced to. And I’m better for it. I’m Harold Ford, Jr. Here, I learned the difference between right and wrong… And now Mr. Corker’s doing wrong… First spending millions telling untruths about his Republican opponents both good men and now me.

(Story about video)

It's an empty church, so I don't think any rules are being broken. "I started church the old fashioned way-I was forced to"? Hmm.

It is true. I just found the video of this commercial on the Web. And it's blatant. I only caught the tail end of the commercial the first time but in the complet commercial Ford basically wears his church on his sleeve like a campaign ornament. If a Republican recorded this type of campaign commercial, he would be denounced for mixing religion and politics throughout the MSM. I'm not done with this story yet. Stand by.

It's an empty church but it IS a church. What happened to the Democrats sqawking about not mixing religion and politics?

Thanx. It might be legal to film a campaign commercial inside a church but it sure is in poor taste. However, since a Democrat was the one to make such a commercial, there is a giant Ho-Hum from the MSM. Of course, imagine the OUTRAGE if a Republican had done the same.

Ford is playing to the Bible Belt Crowd in Tennessee, if Ford was in front of a Democrat audience he would hide his Cross.

X42 and Algore both actively campaigned in black churches and the MSM ignored it with the same tenacity they attacked Dubya for daring to be a Christian. If it weren't for the MSM propping them up, the RATS as a party would have died back in the 80's.

I saw it last night! You are right, it was definitely set in a church.

The TV was muted, so I did not hear him, but I was aghast at the audacity.

Another of his campaign commercials that smacks of blatant hypocrisy is the one in which he talks about what children should be taught. He lists several things and ends with something like, "and first and foremost they should put God first."

He's going after the values voters and knows that as a democrat, he's immune from an ACLU attack.

Commercial Script: I started church the old fashioned way… I was forced to. And I’m better for it.

So is he advocating forcing people to go to church for their own good? /s

Ford is a member of the Blue Dog Democrat Coalition a group of moderate and conservative Democrats in the United States House of Representatives; it currently has 37 members.

So independent of whether they paid for the church facility, Ford is trying to hide behind his religious upbringing to deflect criticism of his actions.
