Years ago my band was contacted by a label that had just signed some band and they wanted to use our bands name. They offered us money, but we cynically declined. It was funny when their cd showed up at the record store I worked at on weekends.
I wonder if George Lucas can sue "Supernova" over their song titled "Chewbacca".

George Lucas doesn't have a song titled Chewbacca.

The was a rock band named Supernova.

If Chewbacca is a fictionalized film about an Attorney General of the United States, there is no infraction.

Does the name present confusion in the marketplace?

These lawsuits happen all the times when 2 small bands at opposite sides of the country settle on the same name. Internet makes such searches much easier. Sometimes it is still whichever band comes to prominence first.
