I think we need to make a distinction here between Free masons here in the US and in Europe. There are various reason why Catholics cant be Mason and I accept that. However I have many family members that are mason and to be honest it really isnt a cult nor is there a US masonic conspiracy. It is a sad fact in some ways but Masons are dying out as one can tell when one sees the age of the membership at most lodges.

The only kind of Masonic lodges that I am wary of are in Europe for the most part. The famous lodge in Italy for example that was involved in all those monkeyshines. But besides that I think the US bunch are a pretty harmless bunch that in fact do some good work

European Masonry has always been political in nature. Over here, the Masons pretty much started the country, and then went back to playing cards and drinking beer without the womenfolk hanging about.

The famous lodge in Italy for example that was involved in all those monkeyshines.

I think it was called "P2" for "Propaganda Deuce," and it was a haven for unreconstructed fascists (and, no, I don't mean the "FASCIST!" yelled by the moonbats who think Loose Change is groundbreaking "speaking truth to power," I mean real, no-kidding, gosh-we-really-miss-Benito-Mussolini fascists).

But besides that I think the US bunch are a pretty harmless bunch that in fact do some good work.

They're getting older and older, though.

The local Masonic lodge was very helpful to me (a non-Mason) and my family after I was shot in the line of duty as a cop, and I contribute to things like the Shriners' Hospital and the like as a way of saying "thank you."
