So now you're arguing about the meaning of the word "basically." That's it?!
You're basically sad.
"A former Mason turned fundie Protestant."
He lied or was in a bigoted lodge.
Such a rule runs completely counter to the principles of freemasonry.
A little Blast From the Past! Har! Har! Har!
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back on this thread, WakeUpAndVote posted the following to you, at post #6.............
"an anti-Masonic, Catholic group"
What one is that? Knights?
To which YOU replied, at post #9.......
Let's just say that there was a recent movie, filled with Masonic imagery, which treated the group that at least two of them have been linked very poorly.
Those ARE your words...YOU wrote them, and now YOU are choking on them!
Stop lying, stop trying to weasel out of what you said, and stop playing stupid games!
What's sad is that you're trying to justify saying "basically all" when you mean "a sizeable minority."
And what's downright pathetic is that you think that bad-mouthing and name-calling serves as a defense of your character.
Whatever connection the 20th-century freemasons have to the heroes of the 18th century is looking miserably frayed.
Just keep saying "We used to be good! We used to be good!" as much as you like. In the 20th century, the freemasons dominated the ranks of the social arsonists; in the 21st century...
Well, nevermind... I'll be charitable and presume the FR contingent is just a poor example.
I'm not illiterate. OTOH you are ( as well as you being uneducated, biased, rude, incivil, and a liar ) and THAT isn't my fault, but it IS your fault, as well as your problem.
>> This anti-masonic movement printed many a long-disproven lie and slander, several of which you have regurgitated here. <<
Name one. The closest I ever came to saying anything bad about the historical freemasons was that they probably emerged from Knights Templar who were prosecuted for war crimes. (I actually meant that the unjust treatment they received probably spawned some of their beliefs, but I didn't actually say that the treatment had been unjust.)
So what lies and slander did I write? Is it a false statement that the liberal court system in the mid-20th century was dominated by free masons?
That's tha pathetic thing about so many of the free masons on this thread. You all shout, "Lies! Slander! Whacko Conspiracists!" without ever bothering to point out what was untrue.
He was either lying, or he belonged to a rogue lodge, which, though claiming to be Masons, were NOT really affiliated with them. What he told you, is absolutely NOT in accord with Masonic rules.
"Whatever connection the 20th-century freemasons"
I think Audie Murphy, Jimmy Doolittle, Edie Rickenbacker, Chesty Fuller, Winston Churchill, John Wayne, Gus Grissom, and many other 20th-century freemasons stand pretty much on their own, actually, just to name a few 20th Century heroes.
See my post directly below yours...between us, we are proving what and idiotic liar dangus really is.
No, but I'll look it up ( in books.....NOT on line, which usually gets things wrong ) and get back to you.
Pure horsehocky, eh?
>> There's that term again...Eastern Star. It's a name that recalls that of Esther, a Persian name that means "Star," and may or may not refer to the Evening Star, meaning Venus. Now, there's some controversy over the etiology, but I find it fascinating that the Masonic womens' organization should bear a label that refers to Venus, a.k.a. Aphrodite. <<
What this poster doesn't know is that the ancient name of the star was neither Venus nor Aphrodite. It was known to the Greeks as Phosphorus, and to the Latins are Lucifer. So, yes, the Freemasons invoke the name of Lucifer, at least at their National Monument, but, no, they are not being Satanic.
Incidentally, the link between Lucifer and Satanism only came about by medieval esoteric angelologists: The morning star (Lucifer) is moaned as a fallen angel who had been 2nd only to God in glory. Elsewhere, however, the morning star, in seperate allusions, is heralded as proclaiming the imminent return of light.
Thanks for additional names, I was in a hurry and left those off my list.
Yes, and THANK YOU, for all of the additional help! :-)
Oh goodness, I remember THAT moronic garbage. LOL
You are such a liar.
Go read any Eastern Star, liturature. The source of the "Eastern Star" name is Matthew 2:2, as in:
"Matthew 2:2
2and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east[a] and have come to worship him."
Omar Bradley, douglas MacArthur, Arleigh Burke,Clair Lee Chennault........
"This anti-masonic movement printed many a long-disproven lie and slander, several of which you have regurgitated here."
You reply:
"Name one."
Your post on this very thread, for example, is one:
"As well as explain why they worship Lucifer (no, it's not actually Satanic; the name means "bearer of light") while bowing before a golden bull."
Ooooo, I'm impressed -- NOT.
