I think I see a small change

I think my mother is starting to see the light. She will never become a Repub but lately, now that bush is not running again, she has become more angry at the party. Not the repub party, but the dem party. She still hates bush for some reason, but her complaints have been direct more at the dem party as of late. I dont push it, or say see i told you so, I just let their actions speak for themselves. She wont tell me who she will vote for in Nov., but as I say, like Reagan, I did not leave the dem party, they left us. Simply put, she does not trust the Dem party to lead on the war on terror. I feel vindicated

Just take a look around these days at the DemonRat party...the do nothing but whine and complain.

Letter writing seems to be the only thing they can do, Howard Dean, the Senate and now Pelosi and Reid write to the heads of the Three Networks telling them they want fair coverage...

Then, you have their supporters at moveon.org, kos, DU and the 9/11 conspiracy whack jobs...

LOL, what a bunch of loons.

I do come from a strong democrat family. I for the most part, support unions. tax cuts dont really rile me up. My dad worked on the humphrey campaign in 68(voted for Nixon in 72 though). I believe in helping the less fortunate. When the democrats fing their inner truman, then i will be back. I ponder how many other traditional dems are watching this show by the dems and going to the polls, holding their noses, and voting GOP? I like to tell my mother, during our discussions, It aint grandfathers democrat party any more

That's interesting, why do we need Unions in this day and age? As for tax cuts, why don't you want to keep more of the money YOU EARN? I used to NOT worry about our country, but when Clinton was elected, I became MUCH more aware of what being a citizen was all about. We are both very lucky and blessed to live in this wonderful place. There aren't many countries that tolerate such hatred of the elected leader by the media or opposition party.

Did you make your long rifle?
