My daughter wants a car, too. I'm wafting subtle hints to her grandparents :-).
She's going to her driving training starting tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. I told her if she wasn't at the front door ready to go at 5:45, I'd call the driving instructor and say we'd changed our minds about her driving.
It will work.
