Well, after the chickensh*t response of the Columbine police, I would hope that citizens are armed and do not depend on the local cops.
These are solitary hunters like leopards or tigers, not social hunters like lions. Unless it's (as someone already surmised on this thread) a mother and kittens, I find this report hard to believe.
