What an embecile.

FR Rule of thumb....

Spell check is always a good idea; it is a GREAT idea when you are discussing someone else's intellect...

My deepest apologies that I apparently offended someone. I am in the habit of clicking the "Spell" button, and my post you referenced was no exception. But you didn't express your opinion if you agreed with my post or not (with or without the spelling error). And as much as I wish I were perfect (and spell checkers always were 100% accurate), I am human. That's why I give priority to reading the content of people's post, instead of trying to be the spelling police. But thank you for pointing out the error of my ways. I will endeavor to double spell-check every post I make so that I do not risk offending others. I feel so ashamed... ------ im‧be‧cile /ˈɪmbəsɪl, -səl or, especially Brit., -ˌsil/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[im-buh-sil, -suhl or, especially Brit., -seel] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun 1. Psychology. a person of the second order in a former classification of mental retardation, above the level of idiocy, having a mental age of seven or eight years and an intelligence quotient of 25 to 50. 2. a dunce; blockhead; dolt. –adjective 3. mentally feeble. 4. showing mental feebleness or incapacity. 5. stupid; silly; absurd. 6. Archaic. weak or feeble. -------- And it is amazing, althought the correct spelling is "imbecile", how often you can find it spelled the way I spelled it. Just try a Google search for the word, spelled "embecile". Even more funny is the hits with "Democrat" in the same search result....
