Hole in roadway on northbound I-5 at Capitol Lake overpass

The Olympian

A hole has reportedly developed on the right lane of northbound I-5 at milepost 101 near the junction of U.S. 104 in Olympia at the Capitol Lake overpass. Officials are monitoring the area and waiting for a steel plate and available crew for traffic control, according to the state Department of Transportation Web site.

Now... what's interesting about that is... That whole section is all quite high up, part overpass, part man made berm. They wrote it backwards, it's mile 104 where Hwy 101 is... where the lake is on one side and the lower falls park is on the other. My question is, are they ~curious~ about whether putting a plate over the hole is really solving the whole problem? :~)
