That's kind of where my current story would fall, I guess.

It's set in the future and there are space ships and all...but it's more about the people than anything else. I don't attempt to explain fancy technology. It's just there. ;-) More of a setting than what the story is about, so it's far from hard sci-fi.

I attempt rational science fiction while talking about people issues ... Gift is going to examine these five women's relationships with the men in their lives, and with one another.

It should be very wordy ...!

You know, Nora Roberts has written twenty-two (I think ... maybe twenty-three) novels set in 2059, and she has yet to explain any of the tech ...
