Rose talked me through that once. I'm not even sure I know which disks are the correct ones between the PC and the laptop. I'm sure I could figger it out.

But still...ain't there a better way?

Windows' registry has a habit of getting crapped messed up, especially from installing and uninstalling programs, not to mention spyware, adware, etc., etc. There are programs that promise to clean all that up, but none of them get everything and most of them contain the possibility of messing things up so bad you have to re-install anyway. So, might as well skip the "maybe" and just format and install.

It really is the only way to be sure you get everything. Sounds drastic I know, but that's Windows.
