You've got a tracking number right? That's how you know it was not delivered today? Call them and tell them you'll pick it up at the UPS place.
"Well, I'm home."
Left early, as most of downtown did, slowly but steadily moving south. Took about an extra 30 minutes on the city streets.
We've tarped the vehicle, got the birdbath heater in. Got Tortilla Soup tonight. hmmmmm.
Glad you made it home safely!! How much time was added to your commute??
Got the trash out and the car in.
Mmmmmm......soup....
I stopped by. They said I could pick it up after the truck comes in - won't be until seven or seven-thirty, though. By then...it may be wayyy too interesting out there. Grr.
Got off early today...probably can't tomorrow. But maybe I can get a message to the driver to deliver it to the store tomorrow if I don't make it by tonight.
Oh - You're home? Want yer dog? :~) I'll bring him over.
Thanks. ;-)
Sorry he's been such a brat lately!
Getting freezing rain...
Oh he hasn't been a brat at all, I don't mind letting him come over when it's this brutal cold out all day :~)
Well...in any case, I do appreciate it!
And he loves it.
I guess someday I really should get him another dog...
Disaster averted.
Got dog and cat food.
Some roads are icy. Was a car on its roof along my route back from the feed store...don't think anyone was too seriously hurt as there was a gang of guys standing around it scratching their heads. Oops.
I think it's mostly a matter of people getting overconfident on the dry patches.
Yup - not pleasant at all.
Really! Which road?
We've got sleet and hail here. Supposed to turn to snow soon.
Littlerock, right after the highschool.
Wanna go join the gawkers? ;-)
It was pretty scary looking. For all my winter driving, I don't think I've ever actually seen a car upside-down in a ditch like that, except in pictures. The local paper comes a-runnin' if there's a crash of any kind. Usually makes the "picture of the day". ;-)
Maaaaaybeeeee!
We went that way today, you're right, it wasn't that bad if you keep your head about you.
I think part of it is that there was water on the roads during the day that is now freezing. Means there are long stretches of dry with a few patches of pure ice. I slid a tiny bit, but it wasn't anything to get excited about. But then, I wasn't going more than thirty or so, if that.
Evenin...
Nuthin here.
[sigh]
