Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good luck with the storm...I just read your storm diary about the other one over on the saddle thread. What an adventure. And pain.
Do you know, by any chance, if these things are caused by the El Nino?

I read Webb's article in the WSJ, which was posted here last night. What a jerk that guy seems to be.

Can y'all keep your weather on your side of the country, please? :-)
To: HairOfTheDog
And we might be having a Tsunami.... did you see that? Maybe we'll head to the ocean today, should be good surf :~)No, I didn't see that. Huh! I'll have to go in search of threads. ;-)
I don't need to tell you to take pictures if you do go anywhere at all...

Oops...sorry 'bout that!
That weather pattern looks rather dragonish.

Speaking of Tsunamis I couldn't understand why Drudge posted this map with the earthquake star in Northern Austraila, surrounded by green seas? Took a bit, but figured it out, just call me Einstien.

Do you know, by any chance, if these things are caused by the El Nino? Are we in an El Nino again? I don't know.
The recent weather is what is locally called the "Pineapple Express" (satellite image) Where the jet stream is quite far south over the Pacific, and then bends sharply up to head our way... It brings lots of warm, turbulent moisture that looks like a fire hose when it's aimed right at us. :~) I'm actually looking forward to shifting back to our normal relatively cold but stable weather from the Gulf of Alaska. ;~)

That's not our weather :~) That's yours! Batten down your hatches RB!

Heh...took me a minute, too. Those are odd color choices!

Yeah - Becky said you were getting wind too. Take care, it's a blustery day lots of places today.

How are things in your neck of the woods?
I hate getting out in this windy weather in my high profile van. I'm pretty sure I'll get blown right off a bridge. I wouldn't, except Joshua has speech therapy today.

I appear to have awakened into some kind of alternate universe. Dang, I hate it when that happens.
On ~my~ home world, guys like OJ don't write a book about how he "might have" committed a crime "if" he'd done it, which he says he didn't.
It's just inexplicable. I sit mouth agape in awe of the sheer magnitude of it.

Mornin' folkses... :-)
To: Ramius
He's gutsy...guess you can give him that.
But yeah, turns the stomach, doesn't it?
Mornin'. Windy up there, too?
