Yes, indeed. Take care to manage the situation as best you can. The stress that it can produce is horribly corrosive to you health and happiness. (voice of experience here)It already is, for the short term anyway. I have this huge task in front of me that will only result in turning my good product into a format that is compatible with their crappy product, and I will probably remain despondent through the whole process! I don't know whether to get started or get drunk :~)
Sorry about the firing at your place, I guess it could always be worse.
The stuff I have to do is such specific and technical database stuff that I don't even think I can commiserate about it. But thanks!

It would really suck from an equity point of view. Can't decide whether to stay until I've got decent equity in thenewhouse or cut my losses and move into a paid-for rent-free house.
Moving's a pain in the butt, though.

Well...hopefully they realize you're worth keeping around!
Good evening, all! I'm making a sort of chicken chili...stew...thing. We'll see how it goes. I had 'maters and peppers to use, plus chicken and onions and garlic and such. It smells OK, in any case.
But I have to go back to work to reboot servers and check on one that's ailing. *sigh*
At least it's only my turn to do that every so often.
