Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah - I'm still online, just don't have a thing to say! Politics-wise.
I've been posting a lot in a horse forum... arguing mostly :~)

I have a couple of these... Hmmmmm...we just heard the choir is going back to Slovakia next year. I could use one of those.
Wife and I are actually thinking that, since we haven't found another beach house, we'd do Slovakia instead of a week at the beach.

I forget where I was the other day, as well as what brought it up. But something triggered an LOTR reference and I realized that only you guys would get it...
It might have been vanilla wafers.
Seriously though, I'm just way to busy right now. Something's gotta give.

In the time since I posted about the parade I've fixed the jedis breakfast and second breakfast.
Matthew's latin teacher's wife said we could borrow her Sawsall (sp?).
Ugh...the thought of sawing off the bottom of my Precious gives me a bit of a sick feeling...but it's gotta be done.

In the time since I last posted to you, I posted to someone in the horse forum about manure management, and someone else about a horse that trips, and I've had three sips of espresso.

Wife and I are actually thinking that, since we haven't found another beach house, we'd do Slovakia instead of a week at the beach.I need coffee.
I read that as "wreck at the beach".
To: HairOfTheDog
Slow down there, sis...you're making me exhausted just reading about it!
:-D
The Asplundh guys never came all summer...but they're in the neighborhood now. Gotta open the gate for them...

Steve killed Charlotte!!!
I didn't see her in the window for several days and I told him "I think Charlotte split...could you clean out all that webbing?" So he opened the window and apparently Charlotte was hunkered down at the bottom of the window and jumped out at him. He reacted in a violent and rash manner, in my opinion.
Splat.

You need some vanilla wafers. One of those will keep a grown man going for days.

See, this is why I never bought into the "lembas is vanilla wafers" myth...

Vanilla wafers don't keep you going? Well...maybe they aren't activated until you put them in banana pudding.

Who was it that ran for office in Tennessee with the slogal "three vanilla wafers and a cup of coffee"...or something like that?
This was back in the 80s. I think he was a Dem.
Prolly an elf too...if you know what I mean...
To: Corin Stormhands
I wouldn't remember...but that's a rather strange slogan. :-\

Stripey, Joshua's
Argiope produced a hugh egg sack the size of a marble. We moved her indoors, into a terrarium, which is now on display in the living room. The egg sack is safe in a fruit jar.
She wouldn't have survived the winter otherwise...if she lives, we'll release her in the Spring.

I don't think it was his official campaign slogan, but a signature line he used in all his stump speeches.
