Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

But then you have to buy beeswax, olive oil, and cocoa butter. - easier to buy chapstick. I'm just sayin is all :~)

Jack, in particular, really got gypped on flashbacks. I'm still ticked off about that.

Granted, he hasn't lived about thirty lives in the past, like Locke apparently has...but they could have given him better flashbacks!

If I wrote Lost...

Are you dealing with one issue or two, i.e, cold feet or cold cracked feet? If it's just cold feet, you can make yourself a 'corn bag" and it won't cost anymore than the cost of the dried corn.

I use leftover denim and pop the corn off the dried ears I buy for the squirrels. Just sew yourself up a bag, put the corn in, close up the 4th side, voila, you're done. Pop in the microwave for 1-2 minutes and you've got the most wonderful warm bag you can use for your hands, feet, neck, back, where ever. We heat 'em up and put them in the cold bed, deliciously warm on your feet!

So Jin wasn't "healed" by the island like Locke and whatshername? Sun really did cheat with the hotel guy?

Both...my feet are pretty good right now, as far as the cracked heel issue...I've got it under control.

But this ache...oh my word...this just started last year and only happens when it's cold outside...I went all summer with nary a twinge.

Now my feet just ache ALL OVER! They feel like two big chunks of aching ice stuck to the bottom of my legs!

I have rice and wheat and popcorn and since this morning, I've read you can use all three. I would think the rice would be easiest to make an insert out of and slip into my house shoes so I can walk around.

True...

Except chapstick sucks. It reminds me of rubbing a candle on my lips. And I don't care for the smell.

Some lip balms are ok, like Burts. But it is expensive and for the cost of a few of those I can make an almost unending supply of homemade lip balm.

All I do is measure it out into a pyrex measuring cup and stick it in a shallow pot of boiling water until it melts (within minutes) stir, and then pour it into something, like a medicine bottle.

I swear, I have enough lip balm ingredients in there right now to last our entire family 10 years. LOL!!

The flaxseed just sounds nice because of all the natural oils in it...seems like it would warm up and stay nice.

Except chapstick sucks.

It's always worked for me. And when I was playing trombone, not to mention living in the dry AZ climate, I was ~very~ careful about taking care of my lips.

And to this day, I always carry a tube of it in my pocketses.

They make her awfully likeable for someone who tells so many lies.

Although somewhere along the line in Season 2 I had a fleeting thought that the baby was Michael's...

I used a flaxseed bag right after Dan's accident when he couldn't take the roughness of the dried corn. The only trouble with flaxseed is that it doesn't stay warm as long as the corn, and you need to be very careful that it doesn't get too hot and burn you!!

I'm paying bills. I hate to do it, but I'm pretty proud of myself...I got one gasoline card bill paid down to zero. It's the one I normally use.

My goal is from now on to only use a pre-paid Walmart gasoline card. That way, I won't have that debt to worry about...it's paid for upfront. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but had no Walmart close enough to make it really feasible. But they just opened a Walmart Supercenter a couple of miles from my house, so now I can.

The goal is to get Steve's paid down and set him up with the same deal.

Plus, when you buy your gas from Walmart using a pre-paid card, it's 3 cents cheaper per gallon!

Heh...I just cut Joshua's peanut butter sandwich into the shape of a Beetle using that cookie cutter...

He laughed and said "You Bug me, Mom!"

She's not as sweet and innocent as she looks.

So much for the "it's a miracle!" speech she gave him. :-\

Almost had to ask "What's BSG precious" but figgered it out.

We don't got that neither. I'm thinkin' I tried the first season on Netflix and didn't care for it too much.

Well, actually we don't ~know~ Jin isn't the father and that the other guy is. I'm not clear on the timeline, so I don't know how long after the crash she found out about the baby, but I think it was at least a month. (Wasn't it after Claire had Aaron?) So the affair would have had to have ended almost immediately before the trip for the other guy to be the father. And that's unclear.

Questions... questions that need answering. :)

Yeah, but wasn't her initial plan to run away from Jin at the airport before they got on that flight?

She didn't know she was pregnant, but she was trying to get away from Jin.

Scratch that. I haven't seen any of BSG. It was a diffrent series. BSG is still in the Netflix queue.
