The Hobbit Hole XXXI - Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Good Shooting G'nad and theboy. Congrats on the plunder. Looks like you had a great day for it.

Hmmm. Wild Turkey, and the banquet, whoo-hooo, have a great time. LSA and I used to go Ducks Unlimited till they got all trendy. We'll get to the Mo Bowhunter banquet one of these days.

That's a lot of painting, you're doing a great job. If you run out of windows to paint, you can head our way. :-)

Got a big ol' pile of bulbs and got a lot of them in the ground. LSA transplanted the ballon plants and got another bed cleaned and ready to go for the rest of the bulbs. Several kinds of tulips, crocuses (croci?), and 'woodland mixture'. Gypsygirl enjoyed the fresh air out with us in the front yard.

Look what wandered up to our gate when Rosie was trying to leave to go to town!

Isn't he CUTE? He appears to be really easy going. We ran him up to the vets to check for a microchip but he doesn't have one.

Rosie REALLY did not want to take custody of him, but I sortof made her do it... our fence isn't good for dogs that aren't electric fence trained and hers is better, and we have loose cats in the yard.... and we already have a found dog... and ....

We put up a sign next door with his picture... but Just in case, Rosie's named him ~Hurley~

He looks too cute and healthy not to belong to ~somebody~.

Speaking of Hurley, I just finished Disc 3 of Season 2 of Lost. My best bet to get Disc 4 is ~at least~ Wednesday...

Hopefully I'll get that last one in the front and the two in the back painted tomorrow. I haven't cut the old weatherstripping off yet. Will try that next weekend.

Miss Cat went exploring at the nayber lady's house. If you need to know where your cat is, just listen for the squirrel chatter.

He's quite sizeable... at least a hundred pounds. I should go get more pictures.

He's shaved in his butt area, he looks like he had some rather severe hot spots that they treated which appear to be healing. He's fat and otherwise healthy.

That's kinda the hope.

No calls yet, though. I called Animal Services and we put up a flyer at the store and the nearest vet's.

He didn't appear to want dinner...which I suppose either means he's eaten today or that he's used to a different kind of food?

Maybe give him a few chances to eat, he may just be kindof uneasy about new food. You think you'll bring him in? You could always put the cats in a safe room at first. :~)

~feeling guilty, but chuckling~
