Can't wait to see the next installment!

It's really amazing how much of a difference the tires make. I know nuffin 'bout mechanical stuff...but it *looks* great!

Heh...if you sat in the passenger side, I'm afraid you'd fall straight through the floor pan...it's that thin on that side. You can see through it in many spots. But that is easily fixable and not too 'spensive, even.

What I think is so neat is that you can scroll down the blog and actually see those rims with the old tires on them and how awful they looked. The rims that I'm going to be putting tires on next were the ones I bought to replace the unsalvageable rims that came with my car. They weren't in such bad shape. The re-done ones have come a long way!

Ooooo cool grappling hook. Where can I get me one of those?

We have one left on hand, being saved for a future request. If you really want it, it's yours for the $75 it cost us. Or you can get it for that price from LA PoliceGear online. These things are not cheap, but if they can save your life, they're worth the price.

Oh, good morning!

I'm sitting here snacking on cheese that OT brought...it's a blueberry cheese! It is very likely the best cheese I've ever had in my life and I'm not exaggerating.

I'm so excited about the car...the potential for actually getting it running has gone up substantially, now that it has a key and can roll! Once we get the floor pan in, I'll have the driver's side seat at least clean enough to sit on (with a blanket) and hopefully a couple of broken welds fixed on it. But that's not imperative till I go to put the seat covers back on. That'll have to be fixed before I cover it, because it will perforate the cover if I don't.

Well, I can tell you what I'm dealing with (it's always something).

There was this really odd person that used to belong to my group, you know...but that's ok...I don't mind odd...it takes all kinds, you know? But last year, she didn't join our group...she joined "the other" group.

Well, last year, our high school group combined...just for that one year to get the high school students used to the idea that we had split into two groups. THIS year however, the high school groups are not combined.

The high school coordinator has made us look really bad...because she'll send us stuff saying "You're invited" but we don't want to be associated with them and when we say "No", we look like baddies, you know. It's so stupid.

So I started getting these emails from the daughter of this odd cookie, saying "My mom and I are new members. Put this high school activity in your newsletter." Well, they aren't members, they can't plan activities for our group. Even if they were members, we already have a high school coordinator that plans activities and they'd have to work with her. And they didn't even check with our scheduler! The scheduler maintains a calendar of events so that no event overlaps another if it can be helped and there are some days that are off-limits anyway (Wednesday evening for example.)

This last email I got had the sound that our group was "invited"...well, if it's an event for our group, it seems like we *would* be invited, you know?

I'm highly suspicious that they are trying to get the high schoolers from both groups back together again and that won't be allowed. Our dress code is very much stricter than theirs. For example...we don't allow your underwear (bra, thong) to show.

You could just send them e-mail saying that in the future, any event for your group has to be planned WITH the high school coordinator, or it doesn't get on the schedule.

They're not even members of our organization!

It's the teenage daughter that is doing all the emailings and I'm wondering if she's just trying to pull something.
