Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Hey...you know that saying "Don't get your knickers in a knot?"

Well, mine are. Literally. I just took one of my *ahem* foundations out of the dryer and I'm telling you! Knot!

I'm sitting here working on getting it fixed. I've used the scissors.

It's not a good scene.

I could mow my yard in about 35 seconds with that one.

Jr. said we should get a riding mower. I said "Why? So you can have a nicer one not to use?"

:-D

I have looked all over for the album with Steve and I riding the burros. It has to be up in the attic and I won't go up there digging around...Brown Recluses, doncha know.

I can tell you that I am wearing a pair of hot pink sunglasses in the picture. I have braces. And Steve is carrying a bottle of some clear alcoholic drink we got in the little village. It was apparently distilled there. Unlabeled. I drank some and got drunk for about 10 minutes then went straight to a really severe hangover. Ugh.

I have no idea what it was.

Gypsy accompanied us when we went to the archery range on Labor Day. She had a great time.

Hair et al. LSA and Gypsy met a couple of the horses that are in the pasture between the range and road. They were quite friendly. We grow 'em large here in MO.

I always wanted to go to a costume party as "Bonnie and Clydesdale."

They're probably Belgians. Another draft breed.
