I think the extra virgin is for stepping on the olives in the olive vat...
No hair oil?....oh yeah, olive oil works for that, too......No wonder my cousin always smelled like a dinner salad..........
Yes you've met the 'extra' virgin......she was a tease, remember?
I agree. I use only olive oil, and real butter. Some folks say they don't like the taste of olive oil on some foods but the foods where the flavor stands out, such as when frying fish, or saute'ing, I love its flavor, and when adding it to a baked dish, I don't notice it.
The I went to school with a whole lotta "extra virgins".........
I also use coconut oil for some foods or drink, and macademia nut oil in baking, and both have excellent flavor, and love EVOO on everything else.
What kind of benefits are found in rice bran oil?
Do you have a Trader Joe's near you?
Nope. Kroger, chef store or the natural food market
I switched from dating girls in high school to the girls going to Appalachain State University ......mommy & daddy were some distance away, usually.
Figured out by the time I was 16 not to respond to those girls that loved to tease. See them again 2-3 more times, then "TOUCHDOWN!!!" Those girls always seemed 'to take it so personally'when they didn't get what they wanted at first....hehehehehe.
I only use real oil (olive, coconut, sesame, walnut, macademia, sunflower) and real butter and real cream, none of that fake or low-fat stuff. Since I went back to eating real fats, I've had very little problem with my weight (or my skin or my hair, or my attitude, LOL!) A person is just naturally more cheerful eating real foods instead of chemicals.
There was this one girl we went to HS with that must have been a Valkyrie. She was a virgin at least five times..........
Thanks! Although I don't have a cholesterol problem, this is good info. I'm kind of intrigued by the anti-infective and anti-tumor possibilities, although we occasionally use circumin (cumin or turmeric) for similar reasons.
thanks for ping gretchen.. will send out link to my health conscious friends.
I agree; I never cook without extra-virgin olive oil.
I use curcumin, too. Every day.
You and me both. Yumm.
"Extra Virgin" olive oil is olive oil that hasn't even been kissed.
