Good for you. :-)
They say to me, "Go get 'em, tiger."
And that's what I do.
LOL! I see.
Yep yep yep. Got a whole process going on here.
OK, well, I guess you don't need help, but if you do, let me know, LOL!
Oh, I couldn't do it without you.
OK, give me a shout whenever you need my help.
P?
Nicely done.
Oh, uh...
Still there?
Thank you.
Well done, Phil. Steve Irwin was a good egg.
He was one of the good ones.
You around?
What a catastrophic day!!!
Hey Phil! I'm here. I'm working on my laptop. I can chat but it might be intermittent.
What happened at work?!?!?!?!?!?!
Lisa (the girl I'm stepping in for) just had her baby this morning.
Oh, it wasn't work, m'lady.
My downstairs flooded last night!
Well, how did it happened? Details!!!
What happened was last night, right before I went to bed, a pipe on our water heater (which is located in my bedroom closet, underneath the stairs) busted. I happened to be sleeping upstairs in my parents' bedroom, so I didn't notice...and by the time I woke up, the whole downstairs had been flooded!
So I had to call in at work and tell them I was going to be VERY late today.
Then I called my parents' cell phone, while they were driving home from Florida, and told them the whole story. Yikes! Well, my Dad told me how to shut the water off, so I had to go do that. Then, while wading in the cold, filthy water, I had to evacuate every valuable on the floor I could find. (Many were already wet).
We don't have an attick, so a lot of old priceless memory boxes...full of pictures, photos over the years, books, etc., are keps in boxes in our closets. And they weigh a TON.
Also, the flood reached our garage, so I had to get everything out of there too.
THEN I had to get the water out!
THEN I had to bring every valuable box outside back in, because it was getting cloudy. I did eventually make it to work. The whole downstairs right now is a reprehensible mess, and will be for several days until it completely dries out.
So how's that for a great way to start the day?
Wow!!!
I'll take your flood dilemma over my crazy job.
Not.
So all your computer stuff is in the basement right? Is that where you lurk? Is the floor dry now? What's the latest?
