Yes, yes it does. This is only the third week of the semester, too. I'm not too worried about it, and now I'm not too worried about opening day.
We will.
Miami will have a 4-0 record heading into Foxborough.
Hey, guys, now that I think about it... Pittsburgh Steeler Billy Volek?
And leave 4-1
I just had the same thought.
50-50 chance. The Patriots are worse this year, the Dolphins are much better.
If the Dolphins lose that game, they'll win the second matchup. The schedule was flipped, so now the Dolphins don't have cold-weather games against divisional rivals.
They'd better with that schedule.
If true, the Titans will have traded with both opening night teams in the same week. That's got to set some NFL record... and will be perhaps the only record the Titans set for a long time.
Well no team has gone 0-16 as of yet.
They play Houston and Buffalo. 2-12.
Er, 2-14, rather.
I think it's easier to go 16-0 than the reverse.
Thankfully. Though the Titans might just hit that lowest of lows in a year or two. They're quickly becoming the basement team that the Texans have been for years.
Which is why I think in a couple of years Matt Leinart may wind up in a much better situation than Vince Young.
NBC is back in the NFL business, and the major sports they've aired in the interim have all had case after case after case of refs making, shall we say, highly-questionable calls that favored teams (and individuals) that NBC was promoting.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see Cutler before the season is over.
LOL
Pats are starting the year with a more settled defense than last and Bruschi will be back by then. Offensively they do not have the receiving corps they had last year although who on the Dolphins has the ability to cover Ben Watson? If they start off bad offensively then expect Branch to get a deal. Dillon is in shape and feeling disrespected (I know, it's a black athlete thing), Maroney has game breaking speed and the O-line is very deep.
I hate the flip schedule. In days gone by the Pats would have to beat the Fins in the heat and the Fins would have to play in the cold. Neither did well.
Neither would I, but I think Plummer sticks around if Denver makes as deep a playoff run as last year, and there's no reason why they shouldn't.
