We don't have all the details yet, but got a tip from someone who'd seen the new network lineup that we weren't included after all. We just had that confirmed by one of the suits a few minutes ago. We're told that its a financial decision.

Not a word that leaps to mind when discussing AAR.
He certainly is. He was on in Atlanta in the evening about 20 years ago, and since a friend liked him, I would occasionally have to listen to his show in the car. Anyone who made reference to the Bible or any aspect of Christian belief was cut off immediately and usually mocked by Mike. On the other hand, he regularly featured a local psychic. People called in to get "readings" from her. In Mike's world:
Christian belief - ridiculous and absurd, and not fit to be discussed or at least heard out on the radio
A bogus "psychic" - Fascinating and interesting enough to be featured on a regular basis
I know it was his show and he could do as he pleased, but the foregoing gives you an idea of his goofiness.

I have never paid much attention to DU, but good grief, those people curse a blue streak. The funniest thing that is many don't care for Al Franken and don't listen to his show.

Glad to tip you off on this! I also have a cable connection and on the rare occasions when it's down, it's aggravating. (I should really have a dialup like Juno--ten hrs a month for
free--as a backup for those times when it IS down...)
I can't tell if the guy who thought Franken and Schulz aren't
really liberals is just insane or maybe one of US, in disguise, having a bit o' fun!

AAR is so successful that it's moving to weaker frequencies in places like Cincy, NYC, and Burlington VT. Recently it went from WVAA 1390 (day & night, strong) in Burl. VT to the daytime only, weaker, WTWK 1070; ESPN sports replaced it on 1390.
