Headline is a little misleading. Bluegrass covers of rock songs are very popular now. The "Pops" recordings of rock songs by Floyd, Beatles, etc have been around for years.

Have you heard the countrified version of "The Wall"? I think the band is called Luther Wright and the Wrongs. It's really pretty good, one cut actually better than the original imho.
