I am watching a documentary on IFC called One Day in September. It is about the Munich terrorist incident at the Olympics.
As I watch the incompetence of the Germans, and the frustration of the Israelis, I find myself imagining what the Freepers would've said about such a monumentally botched operation.
It is sad to watch it, and it is even sadder that to this day so many would appease these people and sell Israel out with no shame.
IFC?
I am intrigued.
I think it means Independent Film Channel. It is ch. 131 on my Dish Network.
Roger that. I can't get it.

Thanks.
IFC is channel 550 on DirecTV, in case anyone is wondering. It has been showing "One Day" pretty frequently in the last week or so. Outstanding, heartbreaking, frustrating.
That mass murder was one of the ways in which the PLO showed what it was really about. And the German gov't of that time did as well. And let's not forget about ex-SS officer Kurt Waldheim, who, when Secretary General of the UN, saw to it that Arafat addressed the General Assembly while wearing an unloaded gun on his hip (he used it as a prop during his speech, if memory serves).

Since its founding in 1999, The Zayed Centre for Coordination and Follow-Up has hosted events and produced studies on a variety of issues. The Zayed Centre has dealt with the September 11th attacks, arguing that they were perpetrated by Americans and Israelis. It has discussed "[The] Factual Protocols of the Elders of Zion," and has hosted Holocaust deniers. Dr. Umayma Al-Jalahma, known for her article explaining how Jews use the blood of non-Jews for pastries for the Jewish holiday of Purim, was a recent lecturer at the Centre. A report today suggested that the SARS virus could be a product of "an American war against the world."[1]
The Centre has also hosted and worked in conjunction with notable personalities such as former presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, and French President Jacques Chirac. Its activities have been highly praised by former vice president Al Gore, as well as a wide range of former high-ranking State Department officials. This report reviews the Centre's activities, lecture series, research, and publications. ----
All the usual suspects. And, for the icing on the cake, there's this:
Supporters of Hizbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (top) shout anti-American slogans as U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan (R), Lebanese Foreign Minister Fawzi Salloukh (L) and parliament member Ali Ammar (C) arrive in a damaged area of Beirut August 28, 2006. (Eric Gaillard/Reuters)
Incredible movie
It is unbelievable how the Germans botched this situation.
But what really got me was the subsequent hijacking of the Lufthansa plane, where the terrorists demanded the release of the 3 surviving Munich terrorists and the Germans quickly gave in and released them in exchange of the release of the plane.
Later one of the terrorists admitted that this had been a setup in coorporation with the German government...
Just to appease the Arabs not to attack Germany?!?
Man, I thought Willi Brandt was one of the good guys.
IFC will show it again at 1:15 am
