That is good news! I was racking my brain trying to think of something that hadn't been mentioned already!

Glad to hear it. :~)

Now you know where to look if she gets spooked again. Hopefully in time she'll relax. How much longer have you got her?

Hey there. We just got a kitten the other week, and have just gone through this.

If the cat is definitely inside, she/he is prolly hiding. Our cats love to hide inside the box springs (this is an amazingly frustrating thing, since they rip the batting to shreds).

Just keep putting food, water down, and giving the cat some 'space'. Eventually, it will show up.

Possible places: behind the fridge, basement, large potted plants. It's a known fact cats can turn invisible when they know they're being looked for. Freepmail me if you need any more info/help.

Actually, I have.

But it's not a high percentage in the literature.

It's not clear why. Could be because of low reporting.

But it seems more likely that aliens don't use the pet parts for food commonly.

The human and cattle parts are evidently much more compatible to be pureed and slathered on the ET's skin for sustenance--especially the genitals, jaw, tongue, eyes etc. Also, supposedly there's a kind of addictive drug effect to the body parts when the person is terrified and alive when the parts are lasered out of them . . . along with every drop of blood.

Sometimes one hears of aliens collecting a variety of animals, including pets, to assess things like pollution, genetic health and diversity; a zoo for repopulating after some earth cleansing disasters still ahead etc.

Who knows what the truth is given so much disinformation in the field.

My own best guess is that dogs and cats are not abducted commonly but occasionally for unclear reasons. Cattle might well be abducted much more often. Horses not as often as cattle but probably more than dogs and cats.

Haven't heard of llama abductions. Sheep and goats are abducted.

Perhaps FREEPER FARMERS who have had multiple abductions of their cattle etc. could comment at least BY FREEPMAIL to you.

I think there has been a case or two reported of pets being frenetic, violent toward the ET's abducting the humans in the house and the ET's have killed or abducted the pets or vaporized them. Also not a common report.

Pets, varmits, etc. routinely give a wide berth to the cattle mutilations dropped back into the fields from 150 or more feet up. Usually they won't touch it for 6 months to a year.

I think there's also been a report of a pet cat or some such being seen on a LARGE UFO but I forget--whether it was with a human or an ET or in a cage or what. I think one was in someone's arms--a human I think. And another was in a cage on a different UFO.

I think that about sums up my core dump on that issue! LOL.

Please let me know any details you have if you're willing.

LUB,

It's unfortunate no one advised you to keep the cat in a small space (bathroom or one bedroom) when you brought it home. Cats freak out when they are in strange places and will find the deepest, darkest place they can to hide.

First, do you have a basement or crawl space? Could the cat have gone into the basement? Could the cat have somehow gotten into the crawl space under your house, or outside through the basement? How about an attached garage?

Second, methodically check each room that has a door. Make sure you close the door while you are searching, then close it after you finish searching.

Third, once you have eliminated basement/crawl space/garage, and rooms with doors, then go methodically through the open areas of the house. Try working in one direction, with someone always beind you watching in case the cat sneaks by out of your line of sight.

Fourth, check on top, behind, under and even inside furniture; on top, behind and under drapes; in boxes, papers, shoes, etc. Search high and low, literally, always working in one direction with someone quietly watching behind you.

If you have methodically done this, and eliminated all dark, small places the cat might be, and still don't find it, then the cat might have gotten out without you knowing about it. The only way to capture it then would be to leave food out, maybe with a humane trap you can get from your local humane society or cat rescue group.

In fact, you might get one of those traps anyway, and put it inside the house (with food inside the trap) where you think the cat would find it. If the cat is in the house, it will get hungry enough to hopefully try going inside the humane trap. Cover it with a towel or something to make it dark inside the trap.

Something similar happened to me once when I moved. My cat managed to find a way to get in the crawl space under the house. Fortunately, she couldn't get out because the crawl-space vents were in good repair. Once I realized she was down there, I had to keep leaving food nearby until she finally came out on her own.

Our cats love to hide inside the box springs (this is an amazingly frustrating thing, since they rip the batting to shreds).

I solved this problem by putting an old fitted sheet on the underneath part of the box spring. It is definitely a two person job but worth the effort.

A can opening sound with smell of tuna could work.

I assume you've looked inside all the cat sized or bigger containers including washing machine and dryer.

You might also borrow a dog who is keen on chasing cats to smell out every room.

I'm skeptical ET's would bother with a lone cat without bothering humans in the house as well. Never heard of that sort of thing.

You might also check to be sure there's no lapse in the wall coverings such that a cat could get inside a wall somewhere . . . nor any air duct anywhere.

And be sure no one accepted a deliveray late at night when a clever cat might have scooted out the door unseen.

I knew a farmer who was visited by dyslexic aliens.

They abducted his corn and made circles in his cattle.

You'd all be better off if you contained the cat in a single room, preferrable one with fewer hiding places. He doesn't understand or like being out of place and all he's going to want to do is hide.

If there's a next time, use a flashlight. His eyes will reflect like headlights.

Buy a new cat that looks just like it.

I've seen this done on several sitcoms. It never works; but you might get lucky.

I disagree that it's necessary to keep the cat cooped up from here on out. Let her hide, she'll probably become really comfortable and accustomed to the place about the time the fiancee comes back... If not, you now know what works to get her to come out. Close off rooms you don't want her to be in perhaps, and just relax :~)
