What about the liberal politicians promoting embryonic stem cell genocide? They seem a little...uh...spiritually giddy and diabolically disoriented.
OK, you lost me. What was the "red man"?
Where is this documented?
Not really. If you have ever read accounts from those who do exorcisms, the possessed became so by their own choice. Often times the victim had no idea what he or she was getting into, but they had the choice. M. Martin also makes mention of those who are "perfectly" possessed. Those whose will was totally with the entity doing the possessing, and liked it that way. He was once asked if Hillary was perfectly possessed, and didn't answer.
Makes one wonder...
I have a biography of Napoleon by Frank McLynn that made a mention of something Napoleon called "the red man". Supposedly Napoleon received council from this redman before and after battles. It is one of those things mentioned in passing in a lot of histories of the French Revolution, but not many scholars go into that much (in English anyway, there are a few French historians that talk about it). Here is a site that talks about it somewhat, from an older book about the folklore associated with Napoleon. Use Control- F to search for "red man".

The SS and their crucifix bashing ways I most recently saw on the History channel (of all things) last week during a documentary in the SS. I have also read similar accounts in "The Order of the Deaths Head" by Heinz Zollin Höhne. Not all the Waffen SS were anti Christian, many (as Heinz speaks of) viewed the SS as a kind of an order of knights. But as time went on, most members became more and more occultic.
"A person close to Hitler told me that he wakes up in the night screaming and in convulsions. He calls for help, and appears to be half paralysed. He is seized with a panic that makes him tremble until the bed shakes. He utters confused and unintell- igible sounds, gasping, as if on the point of suffocation. The same person described to me one of these fits, with details that I would refuse to believe had I not complete confidence in my informant.
"Hitler was standing up in his room, swaying and looking all round him as if he were lost. 'It's he, it's he,' he groaned, 'he's come for me!' His lips were white; he was sweating profusely. Suddenly he uttered a string of meaningless figures, then words and scraps of sentences. It was terrifying. He used strange expressions strung together in bizarre disorder. Then he relapsed again into silence, but his lips still continued to move. He was then given a friction and something to drink. Then suddenly he screamed: 'There! there! Over in the comer! He is there!' -- all the time stamping with his feet and shouting. To quiet him he was assured that nothing extra- ordinary had happened, and finally he gradually calmed down. After that he slept for a long time and became normal again..."
Yes, you misunderstand. I attribute both to God, along with all else that has happened throughout history.
How do you know we have freewill? Is there any way you can prove that you were able to make different choices, than you have?
I've read some of Fr. Amorth's descriptions of his life as an exorcist.
He is definitely a very interesting man.
But...like you...I doubt his opinion concerning Harry Potter.
But when you live they lifestyle Fr. Amorth does, and you see they fascination young people have with the occult, it is easy to understand his concern about books like this.
Fr. Amorth sees the worst of the worst, and I'm sure it makes his outlook a bit more extreme than most.
Sorry, then. Yes, God created Stalin and Hitler through their parent's sexual cooperation. But that does n;t make God responsible for, and themselves not responsible for, the evil that they did.
If they cooperated with Satan in committing their crimes, they did so of their own free (yes, God-given) will.
That God permitted it, has to do with His preference for free person,s as opposed to robots or puppets. That they were defeated, has to do with brave men and women who likewise are responsible: willing cooperators with God, for the protection of the innocent and the defeat of the depraved.
I suspect that it's not an uncommon thing, that warriors against the Evil One develop a different view than us common folk! Sometimes distorted, perhaps, in the sense of overestimating the prevalence of the demonic. Sometimes more discerning.
I don't think it excuses them. They invited him in. But they definitely were not of the Lord.
Well, that could have been the Devil visiting Hitler.
Or some paranoid psychosis from all the amphetamine and other stuff
injected into on a daily basis for years by his personal physician.
Or both.
And the actions and directives (for mass murder) were demonically evil in themselves. Temptation, seduction of the spirit, and spiritual enslavement come in many forms
(whatever term one wants to use to call it). The devil can gradually lure people into deeper levels of sin and evil.
Killing someone or even just thinking about it opens a doorway for the demonic. There was a lot of personal malice and evil just in the planning stages of the Nazis. As there still is in the eugenics movement today.
I can believe it.
The abortion industry is a direct product of Satan!
It's good that we can disagree...but then again, it must be the way God wants it.
