"I still don't see how spindles relate to stair trenchers....." I was speaking of the spindles of the routers. Open spindles would simply let the chips fall where they may.
I was not speaking of the spindles of the stair rails.
I have only built two stairs, both open riser.

"... do you know anything about biodiesel fuel??" I know that a local man was selling some home-grown bio-diesel for under two bucks and got in trouble with the government.
He wasn't collecting fuel tax for them.
What did you want to know?

I have been told that it is clean and inexpensive to produce in Malaysia(palm oil blend).
A Malaysian group wants me to raise 100mil in the capital markets for this. Petronas Oil of Malaysia is also a big player in this, and I know nothing about it.

As a market item, it sounds perfectly suitable for trade and investment. However, my instinct tells me the best investments would be made internally within the United States.
As an example, Brazil produces Ethanol less expensively than we can, but they are not allowed to supplement our demand for it.
I would proceed most cautiously, as if the proposal were for snake oil.
A lot of money is currently going into small, local-scale refineries for ethanol, but I am more intrigued with the possible two-stage bacteriological production of a higher chain alcohol called butanol.
It is said to be a direct replacement for gasoline in standard production cars, and does not have ethanol's problems regarding shipping it by pipeline.
Butanol is currently produced from crude oil feedstocks, but the ability to produce it in small scale refineries directly at the source of biomaterial production would make it very price competitive again.

I'm awake! Me too. Just finished watching "Hellboy," at the recommendation of some (respected) Anglican blogger. Camp, interesting ending.
But am way too tired. Manaña, y'all.

Heading back has crossed my mind, as well. But I was having some wierd dreams (common with CFIDS) so I got up and decided to see who else is up this fine Sunday.
It's supposed to be 95 today with a low of 73. A little cool for my tastes, but that's OK. I just have to get to storage and drag out my winter clothes...

48 outside right now. The windows aren't as wide open as they have been.

LOL!
When I head for the PO tomorrow, I think I'll stop at storage and get my down comforter and some winter clothes. By this time next month, I'll be "cold." By December, we should have some pretty cold weather.
The high desert gets ugly cold in the winter.

I bet it does. The cool is a nice break from the heat we've been having, but some rain would be nicer. It's not too early for the leaves to be turning and falling, but this year it seems more due to stress of too little water.
Not long until spider activity goes into high gear.
