No he wasn't. Thai officers had been recruited by Boulder DA investigators to help them with the tip from Tracey.
The Thai officers isolated a few Americans in a fleabag hotel next to the Internet cafe where the emails came from and then trailed them for a few weeks.
Then a DA guy went there three weeks before the arrest. They just didn't know the guy's name or what he looked like. The DA's guy had Tracey send "Daxis" a package at his PO Box. "Daxis" had told Tracey in email that he had a 21-speed bike.
When one of the Americans from the hotel came to the PO Box to get the package and was riding a 21-speed bicycle, they nabbed him. It was Karr.
They didn't know his name until 5 days before they arrested him. We really wondered how they could've done much of an investigation in that amount of time.
Looks like they didn't. But Karr sure did!
Excellent info. I stand corrected.
