During the PPV telecast, the buy-in by Bodog was mentioned a few times, and my first thought was, dang, the guy isn't going to get the full $12,000,000 on his taxes.
If he's got a voicemail recording, it'll pretty much stand up in Las Vegas's court. He should settle as soon as possible rather than rack up lawyers fees on a case he'll lose.
What I gotta wonder is if there's a morals clause for the WSOP winner. Fighting this could cost him more than half of his $12 million in winnings. It does continue the image that one should never, ever, trust a 'Hollywood producer' at his word.
